Free Resource Bonanza

Kent Shaeffer of Church Relevance has a great list of resources that he’s compiled for his reader.  There are several in each of the following categories:

• Church Resources that Cost Money

I’ve used a number of the sites in his list and plan to review a few in the future.  For now, if you’re looking for some good stuff, be sure to check out his list.

Share and Download Resources

Crazy Church is a website dedicated to sharing resources amongst the church.  Their two-part mantra:

1. Church stuff ought to be the best stuff.
2. Churches ought to share that stuff.

They provide resources in the following categories:

• Talks
• Artistic Creations
• Small Groups
• Kids and Youth
• Leading a Church
• Other Stuff

In addition to categories, you can also search by scripture reference or with a general search term, a la Google.  There’s also a link on the right side that allows you to share your ideas with the community.

Community Prayer

Robert Yang of KindleJoy has a new website that looks to connect people around the world in prayer.  According to their website, here are some of the things you’re able to do there:

• Post your prayers
• Leave comments or praises on current prayers
• Notify your friends and family of your recent prayers
• Create your own prayer groups
• Invite friends to join your groups
• Tag your prayers with keywords with relevant keywords and topics
• Keep a personal journal of your own private prayers
• See prayer activity from all over the world

Church Finances

Resources for the Ministry Challenges of Today

Bob Foerster of the Eastern District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod has put together a nice list of resources and ideas for churches.  It comes from a Lutheran background, but has relevance to pretty much anyone serving in ministry.  I’ll be highlighting some of the items on the list in the coming weeks, but it’s a great place to look if you have no idea what’s available out there.
